- Lock the container
- Place motion sensor lights and noise actuators in the container storage area.
- Install video surveillance and post signage indicating such surveillance (For budget purposes, a fake camera can be installed).
- At all entrances to properties, install visible "Illegal Dumping" and "No Trespassing" signs with their respective fines.
- Place signage around the container storage area and at the entrances to the property indicating "Security and Police are now randomly patrolling the property".
- Never overfill your bin or store items around your bin. Keep it looking as clean as possible, seeing a messy bin is only an invitation for others to dump there.
- If you find illegal waste, go through it. You may find a clue or an address as to where it came from.
